I have been working as an artist and illustrator in Guisborough, Northeast England, since 1991, drawing inspiration from the Moors, Dales and coast. My paintings often return to familiar subjects, invariably finding a fresh view and changing with the season and time of day.

I have exhibited paintings at Kirkleatham Old Hall Museum, Montage Studio Gallery, Darlington Art Gallery, Ormesby Hall, Sunnyfield House Guisborough, Ilkley Winter Gardens, Pinchinthorpe Hall and Inspired By. Gallery, Danby moors Centre, Pannett Art Gallery as guest of The Fylingdales Group of Artists.  I also regularly supply paintings to 'Look Gallery', Helmsley, http://www.lookgallery.co.uk/  My work can now be found at Great Ayton Discovery Centre,105B High St, Great Ayton, Middlesbrough TS9 6NB and Palace Hub Gallery, Redcar.

My painting 'Staithes Beck' has been awarded 2nd prize in the 2012 Dover Prize.

 

 

I was selected to paint at one of six heats Sky Arts 'Landscape Artist Of The Year 2015', at Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire. Although I did not manage to make it to the semi final, my Waddesdon painting was selected by the special guest, Raymond Tissot, as his favourite painting of the day. I was again selected for a heat of 'Landscape Artist Of The Year 2016'.
